Departing from the Village Club du Soleil car park and the Montquitaine chairlift, join the other side of the track in the larches then climb into the forest to access the GR5. Follow the valley with the river on your right to the sheepfold. After a steeper passage, reach the old glacial lock and cross the plateau. On your right, leave the departure for the Col du Chaberton to continue and go up the last wooded valley to follow the GR5 again. Walk along the Clot des Fonds bump to the left as far as the Col des 3 frères minor in front of you. At the pass, walk forward, a remarkable view of the wild valley of Opon, also called Vallon des Acles and the Thabor massif, on the left the peaks of La Meije culminate at nearly 4000 m!
