Just below the small village of La Grave and facing the Meije, a mythical mountaineering peak approaching 4000m, you’re off on a beautiful, fairly technical canyon.
It has the advantage of being quite progressive, the difficulties increasing throughout the canyon to end with a large waterfall exceeding 100m high. A few jumps and slides are possible but the trend is very vertical with varied abseiling descents.
We will therefore take particular time in this canyon to develop your comfort and your knowledge of rope techniques in canyoning.
Canyoning allows you to access unique places where Nature is preserved, we will show you this environment resulting from millions of years of erosion and will try to explain a little of the complex geological history of the Hautes Alpes.
This day canyoning outing is aimed at beginners who want to experience new sensations in the Alps by confronting the large waterfalls facing the legendary summit of La Meije.
