A magnificent gradual climb from Montgenèvre, along the valley of Les Baisses, the ascent of Mont Chaberton offers total immersion in the high mountain atmosphere. At the top are the remains of an Italian fort built at the beginning of the 20th century. The view is spectacular: Écrins, Queyras, Italian Piedmont, Viso, and of course Montgenèvre at your feet.
